Well, because apart from Frank being the keyboard player of FoF, there’s a bridge between Electronic Music (EM) and Prog.
Don’t get this wrong, we’re not talking about EDM ( electronic dance music) but Tangerine Dream, Jarre, Vangelis inspired instrumental melodic, symphonic music made only with Synths.
A lot of Prog fans love EM and have quite some of it in their record collection !

December 16th : We just got news we've won the Dutch i/OPages Prog 2023 award with the 8mm album ! Feeling very proud . We'll receive the trophy early 2024 ! On à gagné le Prog 2023 award attribué par le magazine Pays-Bas i/O Pages avec l'album 8mm. Tres fier !

July 21 : We reveal a first song from the coming FoF (Fish on Friday) "8MM" album. We will post 6 more video's , one every two weeks. So make sure you subscribe to our fairly new youtube channel.
July 9th 2023 : We've been spending days of filming live performances in the new FoF studio- doing photo-shoots and having fun. The 8mm album artwork is also finished and absolutely beautiful. The coming weeks-months will see the release of no less than 6 video clips and a video interview. Esoteric recordings-Cherry Red records (our record label) will now set an exact release date - we guess somewhere October.

May 20th 2023 : We reveal the front cover of our 6th album titled 8mm. We aim to release the album by the end of September-early October . Exact release date and more info coming soon.

October 26th 2022 : After being sold out for a while, Quiet Life , our 2017 release , finally got reprinted. Available in the shop !
September 25th 2022 : Summer's over. A lot of new music has been written which we are recording right now. The new studio building is scheduled to be finished by the end of the year. First job will be the mixing of the new album ! We're still aiming to release it somewhere mid 2023 .
April 15th 2022 :Just keeping everybody up to date....work on the new album is about 70% ready and we're very happy with what we've got till now, but this also means we still have a lot of work to do. Because of the move of the ACE Studio, which is in fact FoF HQ, to a complete new studio , now under construction from the ground up, it will be more likely we 'll release in 2023.
January 27th 2022 : Soon we'll release a first single out of the new recordings. We're working on the video
November 27th 2021 : We're in the mixing stage of about half of the new album and the band is feeling very happy with the new material. As told ...for the first time in FoF's history we've done a cover. It was quite hard work to respect the original feel of the song while breathing new life into it. As you might expect...it isn't a simple song and not well known...that's just what attracted us to do it...oh and the original artist has heard it and we got all support. More soon...

March 13th 2021 : It's been a while since you've heard from us, we know ! 2020 has been a daunting year and we weren't able to get together. The whole pandemic was , in spite of way too much time off, not inspiring ! Things are starting to look better and new songs are written. We hope to be able to record them soon. October 11th : For all of us , 2020 is probably the toughest year to get through (unless you were already there during WWII ) . But we've gotten so much mails about our latest release "Black Rain", telling us it has brought you joy during these dark days. That makes us feel good and will keep us going. Thank you all for making this album a best seller.
June 23th :We've managed to get hold of a very limited back stock of our debut album "Shoot The Moon". The orginal digipack edition !! This is very sought after , and mostly "nowhere to be found" . Be quick , we expect it to sell out in the blink of an eye .

May 18th : CD pre-orders sent to the US seem to be arriving, finally. Most orders to the US have seen postage delays of over a month due to the pandemic !! September 25th : We really have to put something right about "An Initiation" . There are no remixes on this compiltation. This has been put on the internet by someone unknown. Also when reading the CD into a computer it says "2019 remix" . We never made remixes let alone have announced it. "An Initiation" is just ment , as the title suggests, a lower priced release aimed at people who do not know FoF yet and want to discover our music.

Alan Parsons has discovered Fish on Friday, (thank you Nick) and likes us so much that he has invited us to record with him at Abbey Road Studio’s.
The whole band,.. Frank, William, Marcus and Nick will fly over to London mid November.
Due to touring duties our beloved guitarist Marty Townsend can’t make it to the Abbey Road sessions but John Mitchell (Kino-It Bites-Frost) will stand in for him.

We’ve signed a record deal with UK label Cherry Red/Esoteric Antenna, for the worldwide release of our upcoming third album “Godspeed”
They recently released, among others, Lifesigns , Squackett (Steve Hackett-Chris Squire) and are also releasing the Vangelis re-master albums. So we’re in good company !
The release is scheduled for october 2014 but there’s still a lot of recording work to do.
Mixing will be done this summer. We’ll keep you informed. Thanks to all who’ve supported us from the beginning.
